“Malus toringo Brouwer’s Beauty (Japanese Crab Apple) is a small, spreading crab apple cultivar that produces a lovely crop of small orange-yellow crab apples in the autumn.
Brouwer’s Beauty is a hardy, small deciduous tree with a rounded habit and a uniform shape – ideal for small gardens. In spring it can be seen covered in purple flower buds, turning to light pink flower when they open before turning to white.
This reliable variant will grow to a height of approximately 4 metres with a similar size spread – maximum growth can take anywhere between 10 to 20 years.
Grows best on moderately fertile soil – any type – will tolerate partial shade, and can be grown on either exposed or sheltered sites.”
