Project Description

Adare Manor Hotel & Golf Resort

As a result of our history and experience in growing large trees, Nangle and Niesen Ltd were selected as Irish tree supplier for the recent redevelopment of Adare Manor Resort and Golf Course. The site has been subject to a major redevelopment and refurbishment with the intention of providing a 5 star guest experience. The tree planting within the landscape setting is a key component of the works of which our mature trees are playing a central role. The venue has been chosen to host the centenary Ryder Cup in 2027.

Trees Planted

Over 700 of our trees, transplanted from the nursery in Aherla, have now successfully established on the golf course at Adare Manor. These trees include everything from Acer campestre (Field Maple) multi-stems at two meters high, to feathered Fagus sylvatica (Beech) and Betula albosinensis (Chinese Red Birch) at four meters high. Some of the magnificent mature specimens include twelve metre high Quercus cerris (Turkey Oak), Metasequoia glyptostroboides (Dawn Redwood), Castanea sativa (Sweet Chestnut) and Tilia cordata Greenspire (Small Leaved Lime).

Trees like Acer cappadocicum Rubrum (Red Cappadocian Maple), Fagus sylvatica Purple Fountain (Weeping Copper Beech), Fagus sylvatica Zlatia (Golden Beech) and Acer freemanii Autumn Blaze (Freeman Maple) have added a dramatic backdrop with stunning displays of autumn colour.
