Betula utilis Grayswood Ghost (Himalayan Birch ‘Grayswood Ghost’)

“Betula utilis ‘Grayswood Ghost’ is a variant of the Himalayan Birch.

It is a deciduous, quick-growing, and slender tree with striking snowy ‘ghostly’ bark, glossy leaves, and showy catkins in Spring. The leaf turns a pleasant yellow colour in the autumn.

Forms a conical or oval crown. Ideal as a standalone specimen or planted in batches for all-year round interest, especially in Autumn and Winter.

Appreciates most soil types as long as it’s moist and reasonably well-drained.

Grows to a maximum height of 8 metres taking up to 20 years. Spread can be anywhere up to 4 metres.”
